This sucker came out of a lake here in NH. The old record for a lake trout was 28 pounds. This cat crushed that at 37 pounds. How he got this outta the farking icehole is beyond me.

If you don’t get the “farking icehole” comment watch the old movie Johnny Dangerously with Michael Keaton.

Dis somanumbatching country was founded so that the liberties of common patriotic citizens like me could not be taken away by a bunch of fargin iceholes… like yourselves.”

During the Berlin Wall Period, the DDR’s official name for their half of the city was not “East Berlin.”

Instead, they called it “Hauptstadt,” which is German for “Capital City.”

In fact, DDR Border Guards would harass Westerners if they answered the “where are you visiting” question with “East Berlin.”

I have fallen in love with a woman I dated at 22 years old all over again. WTF? Actually I can’t really say all over again because I have always held her as the gold standard of what a woman is. This scares me but it is oh so exiting.

Hahahha good song.

Here are the 10 most-replied-to threads in this forum so far. I’m kind of surprised that two game threads made the cut, but maybe I should not be. After all, Red Sox - Yankees will always draw plenty of opinions, and at the time of their game thread against Houston, the Patriots were 10-1 and still favorites to play in the Super Bowl (sigh).

Someone actually had video of Hans Konrad Schumann making his famous leap over the temporary barbed wire between what was to become East and West Berlin. He was at the corner of Ruppinerstrasse and Bernauerstrasse when he made this leap.

Here is a still.

Dude came to a bad end. After the Wall fell, he went back to visit his relatives in the former East Germany, only to find they hated him for the persecution he brought down on them by defecting. He ended up hanging himself from a tree in his own orchard. :disappointed:

The one Sox yankees thread was a good one. We were waiting for that game all day and had that thread going pretty big before the game even started. Even after we were still talking. Yankees and Sox will always get a big reaction. I look forward to many of those this year.
