My best friend growing up did a bike tour of Europe right after he graduated Worcester Poly Tech and got bid up to $240,00 a year for his first year outta college and hit this trail.
He totally leans Socialist so I’m guessing he was more impressed by the East Side of the wall which is damn ironic cause he would never have the life he has there that he has here.

Got tix the other night to see historian/actor Randy Otto perform his one man show as Winston Churchill next Thursday night.
I’m taking my young indoctrinated 16 year old friend as he has been throwing off the shackles of his progressive education overlords. He is psyched to go see this and so am I.
I hope it is an experience for him like when my dad took my to see something similar about Thomas Jefferson when I was 16.
So looking forward to this and the discussions that follow.

What I could never understand about that is how an intelligent person (such as WPI Graduate) could look at a Wall built by the Socialists to keep people in and not deduce that there was something inherently wrong with their system.
I mean, I don’t believe in unbridled Capitalism, neither, because my grandmother was a Lowell Mill Girl. But at least she could leave the crappy Mill she worked for to look for one that was slightly less crappy.

When I was in Arizona, I had a Hispanic Woman I worked with who was half my age and four pay grades below me. She had a poster in her cube of Mujer Maravilla. She used to smile at me a lot, and she even complimented my looks once.
I will go to my grave regretting not having asked her for a date, but as the Head of two Households, I needs my paycheck.
