Did you get tested or do you just think that is what it was out of curiousity?

I wasn’t feeling well so I called my dr. and she gave me the rundown of questions on symptoms and I had 9 out of 12. Most were explainable like runny nose (allergy season) and stuff like that but I had a fever one night and the such. She just suggested I self quarantine for a bit so I did. I do have an appt with her for something else so I may get the test then.
Concord Hospital(where she works) Has found a very low rate of the virus in the populace here and very few hospitalizations. THe send me weekly and the low levels are almost staggering so I think that’s why doc isn’t freaking out.
I am still mostly staying in my room except to out with my BFF Jo who has been taking care of me.
Long answer to a short question but just thought it needed some context.
No, that’s cool. I remember thinking about that back in March. If I suspect I have it, do I go somewhere to confirm, or do I just quarantine and make sure my symptoms don’t get bad. It’s an interesting thing, as I didn’t want to be a part of overwhelming the health care system. But it also makes you wonder how many people have had it and never got tested, making the CDC numbers far lower than the actual number of people infected. Same with those who have had it and are entirely asymptomatic.
We do some of our bulk shopping at Sam’s in Concord, so that’s good to know.

Yeah, Concord Hospital has done something like 20,000 tests and 183 came back positive with very few hospitalizations.

Thanks. It has led to me spending less time here, but it will even out eventually. But yeah, I am doing what I can to try and lure some people back, though I have more to do on that front. I was a little shocked at how low activity had fallen.
Plans for now are to keep poking at Xenforo. It does not come with a CMS system like vb4 does, so that is something I will need to look into as well. I am awful with web page design to make it look good.

Awesome. That’s actually one of the areas I do OK with, the design aspect of it if I understand the platform.
I’ve done a bunch of sites and I’ve done a bunch of front ends for HTPC’s and stuff like that. I have a good eye for things.

This current situation is an example of justification after-the-fact. Politicians, meds and media peeps are all trapped by the shutdown mentality. What is “safe”… the PC narrative of an impossible objective. What you end up with is “more safe” relatively but the margin is in tiny percentages . Meanwhile the fallout is not safe at all. The stress of failing businesses, loss of lifestyle freedoms as we have known our entire lives… sux beyond belief.
Again … for what exactly. ? Details are not available . As mentioned the primary concern was hospitals. Then it was exposed that some hospitals were empty. Shut down… How is that possible? Don’t forget that our med industry is for profit business and we are seeing this play out tragically and horrifically when you consider how the fraud of portraying falsely the hospital situation is driving our country into turmoil.
It is true that any increase in hospital activity is not ideal… But we know this industry is well funded and expected to perform professionally when under pressure and seek the proper solutions to any crisis… That is without EXPECTING AN ENTIRE SOCIETY TO SHUT DOWN to make their jobs easier… Thanks so much docs.
Is it ok to start that narrative. ? How can we help the hospitals by treating the 95% of people at home… ( like what is happening already. ) Also can hospitals report daily the actual facts of what patients are being treated. Actual facts better than presumed … since it was reported that deaths due to covid have been exaggerated since a dead body stamped with covid receives tens of thousands more money from the government as compensation for the respirators, etc. So death numbers are skewed adding drama for the media… And fraud for med industry.

You obviously have not been personally affected by having any loved ones contract Covid-19 and have serious complications from it. Perhaps if you had, you would be able to see how offensive and insensitive comments like that can be.
Hey… thanks for your opinion. I had a close family member contract pancreatic cancer, another melanoma… are you crying about someone coughing…? Do they have other health problems? I outlined in earlier post a nasty virus I contracted a few years ago. What was your worst experience?
