Raptor Resource Project on Facebook:

News on DH3. The eaglet was found by Winneshiek County Conservation on Tuesday morning after three days of searching. We’ll see if he comes back to Decorah with SOAR (Saving Our Avian Resources) this weekend!

~ Yes, SOAR did admit DH3 ~

Ugh… that’s the first thought when I received a call from Kay on Saturday, July 11, asking if I was available to help transport an injured juvenile Bald Eagle reported North of the Decorah Fish Hatchery.

All at SOAR always hope that the hatch-year raptors (any, any location, any reason) do not need rescued. As we know, such is not the case.

DH3 was rescued and transported to SOAR on July 14 and joins seven (7) other hatch-year Bald Eagles.

Read more about DH3 on the SOAR website: Another Hatch-Year 2026 Bald Eagle Admit – Raptor rehabilitation, education, and research

Our thanks goes to the Decorah Fish Hatchery neighbors who reached out for help! Huge shout-out to Winneshiek County Conservation for rescuing and getting started on the journey to SOAR.

Son was rooting for Japan and Norway. Once :norway: was gone he migrated to England. Not sure what his thoughts are on last two teams.
