I really like this zoo. No animals are in any cages or behind bars. Yes, they are not in the wild but the work they do to return animals to the wild and save lives means a lot. When they are done the Asian course I joked that I will need to just stay in a bed and breakfast to make it a 2 day trip. LOLOL

You can feed the giraffes at the giraffe deck. But son was off looking at something and by the time he showed up the time frame they were closed. That will be a must next time we go.

They have a program, well they use to where you could volunteer to help in the nursery. It is a bit away but not unreasonable but … maybe when things calm down here I will check into it more

I have a program where people could volunteer to take care of Leo. So far no one has volunteered

The tents are getting insane on City Hall property. The homeless are making a statement, and all setting up their tents here… THere is about 60 in counting and well over 100 homeless people on our front lawn. It’s crazy. Protesting the City should do more for them.

Even though there are tons of homeless shelters, but the problem is they can’t do their drugs there, so they won’t go…

I will try and get a picture of what the front looks like right now, it’s crazy

Imagine if you were in LA where it is called Skid Row

It is located to the east of the Downtown Historic Core and the Bunker Hill district. Its officially recognized span is from 3rd Street down to 7th Street north to south, and Main Street to Alameda Street west to east.

Blocks and blocks of people who are homeless, that is all who live in this section

I recently saw a documentary on that… It’s crazy! We have a section here similar but obviously not near as big. They have all gathered here now to protest…

I won’t lie. I can’t wait till I am at the RCMP, and not dealing with protestors. They always come here. Last year it was Covid people anti vaccine people, and now homeless. Next it will be God knows what.
