I wonder if the Sox will wear their City Connect uniforms tonight. I kinda hope so, as it might turn things around. If I recall it has worked in the past.

Tom Caron on X July 25, 2023: Sox are 20-4 all-time in the yellow City Connect uniforms. This was their 8th straight win in yellow.

Wikipedia: After the Red Sox wore the City Connect uniforms for four consecutive games in September 2021, winning all four, manager Alex Cora said that the team would continue to wear them for as long as they kept winning. “I’m sorry, but if we continue winning, we’ve got to stay with them,” Xander Bogaerts told NESN

A day before Wingsday, but that’s okay :slightly_smiling_face:

From Raptor Resource Project about the Trempealeau eagle nest:

Are you keeping your bab-eee books updated? It’s been quite a week at Trempealeau! As of today:

  • TE3 turned four days old
  • TE2 turned two days old
  • We might have a pip on the third egg.
  • Mr. T has returned to nest duties. He is helping with brooding and feeding and appears to have become more comfortable with both.

Are the eaglets getting enough to eat? It’s an evergreen question, especially when you hear and see the little bobbleheads plaintively peeping, tumbling over, and wrestling one another instead of eating. Fortunately, the T’s are perched at the peak of provisioning! Who wouldn’t welcome fish tenders and slippery eyeball treats? Yummmmm!

Today - so far! - Mrs. T has fed TE3 and TE4 seven times. Wrestlemania or not, the eaglets ate well, with six feedings for TE3 and seven for TE4. Don’t let their antics fool you – those tiny bulging crops beneath their downy white feathers point to plenty of provender for both!

Enjoy the bobbleheads while you can: it won’t be long before their fluffy white down is replaced by grey thermal pajamas!

April 13, 2025: Feed us! TE3, left and TE4, right. TE3’s beak and head are larger and its eyes are more receded into their sockets.

April 14, 2025: TE3, foreground, TE4 just visible in the back. Note the blood on the shell: embryonic eaglets have an extensive network of blood vessels running beneath the shell for gas exchange and calcium transport. They pull that network into their bodies shortly before hatch, but it isn’t uncommon for a little blood to be left behind.

April 14, 2025: How will I survive the #cuteness? TE3, back and TE4, front.

April 15, 2025: Mrs. T moves nesting and expands the romper room to keep her eaglets snug and warm on a chilly, damp day.

It’s Jackie Robinson Day so I’m guessing City Connect uniforms might be a no-go.
