There are some challenges with the Discourse software, and I was wondering how the membership here would feel if I looked into moving BSU to Xenforo software? The same software that PP is on, but BSU would continue to be its own site with its own installation and membership.

Thanks guys. After fumbling around with it for awhile, I have contacted a company that specializes in migrations to handle it. Nothing is scheduled yet, but it probably will be before long.
I know how much the small group of you love having this especially for the Sox, and I just want to make sure I get it all preserved for you. My fear is staying with Discourse, if something goes wrong with it (since it is still beta software), we could lose everything fairly easily.
On top of that, I am paying for seperate hosting for this software.
By migrating to Xenforo, we all get a familiar and stable board that is easy for me to maintain, and it can be put on the new host that the Planet is on, saving me a little money, and being a part of the voluntary donations.
This is very much your board and I haven’t really done any moderation here, so I want to make sure that you continue to like it and build your community as you like best.
