There is s FA signing or big trade coming. There has to be.
With Sixersā #33 pick, Celtics take PG Carsen Edwards of Purdue.
With their own #51 (and last?) pick, Celtics take PG Tremont Waters from LSU.
https://www.nba.com/draft/2019/prospects/tremont-waters#/
So, with all the trades, the Celtics send Aron Baynes to PHX, and end up with:
#14: Romeo Langford, SF, Indiana
#22: Grant Williams, SF, Tennessee
#33: Carsen Edwards, PG, Purdue
#51: Tremont Waters, PG, LSU
Milwaukeeās 1st round pick in 2020
Ainge now has his own pick and the Bucksā next year, plus the Grizzliesā pick if itās not in the top six. I guess that still gives him some chips to trade up for a big-name draft pick, especially if that Grizzliesā pick ends up in the 7-10 range, which is entirely possible.
I guess Langford is interesting in that he played most of last season at Indiana with a torn ligament in his shooting hand and still averaged 16.5 ppg. He was a 5 star recruit coming out of HS, ranked in the top 10 overall in most of the recruiting services.
I havenāt had Taco Bell in so long. I love that place.
Grilled chicken stuffed burrito and a large Baja Blast Mountain Dew.
As for the Bucks pickā¦they have 3 starters (Middleton, Brogdon, and Lopez) and 2 key reserves (Mirotic and Hill) who are FA. So their team could look very different next year
The baller move for Ainge would be to acquire the Bucks first rounder next year then use their 30 mil in cap space to sign away 2 or 3 of those FA.
Damn that sounds amazing ā¦
