I’m not going to be happy if they trade him :rage:

Same here. He appears to be an all-around contributor both on and off the field.

We’ll see. Still have plenty of time to get things done. I think everyone is just waiting to see what happens with Juan Soto before doing anything.

BREAKING: Superstar outfielder Juan Soto and the New York Mets are in agreement on a 15-year, $765 million contract, sources tell ESPN. It is the largest deal in professional sports history.

Good grief. He never has to spend that money, just live off the interest from this contract and his last.

Utterly ridiculous. And we all know down the road this contract will no longer be the highest in sports.

As far as trading Casas goes, I say “depends what they might get in return.” If it’s for upper rotation starting pitching, that’s tough to turn down.

As far as Soto goes, good luck to him. Mega-FA signings haven’t worked out all that well for the Mets in recent history (I know Lindor has rebounded from a terrible first year in NY but I don’t think he is playing “$34 mil a year ‘good.’”).
