BTW, the Sox are not off the hook on this. They should have offered him a 6-7 year deal for maybe a $27-$29mm average salary long ago. They didn’t and that resulted in this insane Padres contract that I would never endorse signing any player for, ever.

Completely agree Stan! I am disgusted with it… The Sox better do something to keep Devers… If we lose both these guys in the same season, this top 5 offense will be a bottom 5 offense. We still have play makers like Verdugo, Story, Kike, Connor Wong I think will be good but outside of that… This offense will suck… Devers is a must keep!
