Doesnât matter. The bullpen and rotation is a mess right now outside of Workman. And possibly Sale.
I had heard something on WEEI about this guy being picked up. I think it might have been a Parliamentary Maneuver to have first signed him to a AAA contract on 8/31, then call him up from the minors on 9/1 as part of Roster Expansion Day.
Iâm not positive, but I think this means he canât pitch for the Boston Red Sox in the postseason, should we somehow manage to make it.
What I do know is that he was respectably good as a starter for a pretty damned good Brew Crew during 2017 and 2018. Cora and Company are clearly looking for the proverbial lightning in a bottle here.
