Last yearâs team wildly overachieved and Sox brass knows it. It wouldnât shock me if they were genuinely disgruntled over it because now there is fanbase backlash. Had they been .500 last year, weâd all be more content with this approach.
On one hand, good for them for sticking to their guns. On the other hand, f*** you, John Henry. I donât necessarily blame Bloom for the fact they didnât âgo for it.â That call comes from Henry and Werner. Bloom definitely came here because of the big check book he will have when it is accessible to him.

True. I donât think the offense over achieved. We had some fantastic players. But the pitching most certainly did.
