Not a great series but I’m very optimistic because the Sox are starting to get healthy at the right time. Roman being back is huge. Would really like to get Crochet back for the playoffs.

This would have been fun to see
“Boston Red Sox infielder Andruw Monasterio pitched in the eighth inning of a blowout game against the New York Yankees on August 30, 2026.
Game Details
-
The Situation: Monasterio came in to pitch during the bottom of the 8th inning because the Red Sox were trailing heavily.
-
The Pitching: He threw ultra-slow pitches, clocked around 49 to 50 mph.
-
The Play: New York’s José Caballero hit a 402-foot home run off one of his slow offerings.
-
The Reaction: Monasterio smiled and laughed on the mound as position players often do when forced to pitch to save the bullpen in a lopsided game”
