I just saw the final from last. Night… wtf…
When I went to bed the Pats were scoring at will. Maybe I’m bad luck if I don’t watch. Game was one sided after the first quarter, Pats offence and defense was fantastic. The first and the 4th I guess were the difference.
Three plays that made a difference:
Add up those three plays, and they exceed the Ratbirds’ margin of victory. Yeah, who knows if everything else would have happened even close the way it did, but you can’t leave 18 points on the table and expect to beat a good team.
Ya that makes sense, sometimes it’s just how those games go. End of the day Pats are 8-1 and lost to a tough team (argubaly the 2nd best team in the AFC) in their house. These two will likely meet again come playoff time.

Another Regular Season Super Bowl lost by the Patriots. Man they must have lost like 30 of those in the last couple decades.
And just look to the Jags a last year to see how that works out for most of the teams blowing their load on the Pats in the regular season.
For crying out loud the Pats offense stayed in their 11 package almost the entire game. They weren’t flashing anything else.
That said Bill was still pissed at the loss after the game.
The one I remember the most was a Halloween game against the Steelers. How they crowed after that win. They wouldn’t shut up about it.
It didn’t work out so well come January.

Ravens fans and Eagles fans definitely seem to take the cocky chants to another level. Eagles fans and players are already chirping about the game against the Patriots. Ugh.
On one hand, our team’s weak schedule led them to pick up some bad habits. I can’t tell you how many times I said during the 8-game win streak things like “we won’t get away with that against a good team.”
On the other hand, if there is any good that comes out of this self-defeating effort, I am hoping it leads to significant re-focus on things that have made the Patriots the Patriots during BB’s reign … such as minimizing turnovers and penalties.
I think it’s a guarantee these two will meet again. Could be similar to last years playoffs. Colts could play Texans. Chargers might make playoffs after all hard to say.
By far the most important thing to come out of this game is that now BB has film on Jackson against the Patriots defense.
Exactly! Not every day you play a Michael Vick type QB… Sometimes it’s good losing to a team and player like that. You find out where your weakness is.
According to the great Evan Lazar it’s a scheme issue no a personnel one.
This will be fixed.
