For what it’s worth Pedro urged Red Sox fans to have patience, during a NESN interview. Martinez said because of the 2018 postseason run, players were rested during spring training so the team could push them harder in August and September. Martinez added that because of this approach, the team is in effect “coming out of spring training” right now.
