OB needs to stop. Booth boner over the Rays.

All the mojo in the world won’t help this team when it comes to beating Tampa

This team is dreadful.

I was pretty ok to suck it up and accept last season but I just cannot wrap my head around what the organization is trying to do.

Everyone but Devers is someone you’d happily upgrade from. Kike and Verdugo are definitely major league-caliber players, and they are “dirt dogs” and we all like them, but neither of them are going to carry a team over any kind of a contending hump. They would be nice pieces on a contending team at best.

I just can’t even predict what is going on internally with the Fenway brass. Nothing makes sense.

Well said stan

Duvall now being hurt is a huge loss…. We don’t have a power hitter anymore outside of Devers. Losing Renfroe hurt bad. Martinez as well. And obviously Bogaerts

This team I still think has enough talent to be about average or above average offensively… unfortunately that isn’t near good enough to make up for this absolutely putrid pitching.

Stat wise after today I believe we are dead last or bottom three in pitching. Going to be a long dreadful season, and they are showing no signs of turning this around

I’ll continue to watch every game but this is pathetic baseball.

I don’t really post a lot because I don’t have many good things to say about the Chaim Bloom-led Red Sox, and I am a generally positive person. I do believe that the Red Sox brass brought Bloom in to rebuild the farm system and not to mind any negative press or ire from the fanbased on the process. I 100% believe that to be true.

However, John Henry & Co. have to know that level of acceptance has a shelf life and that shelf life is close to an expiration date.

The Sox have the 15th highest payroll in baseball (for context, #14 is the Colorado Rockies) and I can’t even speculate what their 2024 plan is for their major league club. I don’t even understand why they would bother to invest $32 million in Kenley Jansen when they are this bad - you don’t need a closer when you can’t hold a lead. So long as he’s not a bag of suck, I’d envision him getting moved at the ASB.

I agree to a point with Stan, but at the same time on paper we were suppose to have decent pitching…
Sale
Pivetta
Whitlock
Kluber
Bello

That is a good rotation… Of course everyone is playing like absolute ass, including Sale… Houck has been our best pitcher and the bullpen has sucked just as bad and they were suppose to improve… Right now the team is just a train wreck and even when we score a touchdown we are still losing. I was fine with the pitching going into the season, but obviously I was wrong and so was the Sox staff choosing this rotation. At the end of the day we just didn’t do enough in the off season, which unfortunately now will amount to a long season if we don’t turn this around.

Belle said to me at lunch today “daddy, your baseball team sucks”

Word for word

I think that’s why she is so fussy actually.
