They were quiet today. Both are napping. Jasper is never locked up unless we have contractors etc. Nye doesnāt fly too well so I keep him inside his home so he doesnāt injure himself. Thatās one reason I spent a lot of time with him.
Jasper with his first owner was kept inside a cockatiel cage the first 5 years of his life. He could not spread out his wing fully for the first 5 years of his life. So when we brought him home I made a promise to him that he would never be locked up again that he would be able to go in and out as he pleases.
There are instances where he has to be locked in but those are rare.

I have the upstairs curtained off for it gets dark and he can hurt himself.
Other rooms for same reason but he does have full range of most of the house. Some days he flies a lot some days he walks
